Microsoft TV Commercial Assets
This project involved the development and high-fidelity animation of Microsoft’s flagship laptop lineup for a national television commercial campaign. The primary challenge was to balance severe technical constraints with the dynamic visual language required for broadcast advertising. My responsibility began with the engineering stage, where I meticulously modeled every device—from chassis contours to individual keycap typography—directly from proprietary blueprints and manufacturer schematics. This foundation ensured absolute accuracy in form factor and component placement, critical for building viewer trust in the product’s design.
3D Product Animation for a National Microsoft Commercial
3D product animation created for a national Microsoft TV commercial campaign. The project focused on transforming CAD schematics and technical blueprints into high-precision 3D device models and dynamic broadcast motion graphics.
-
Blueprint-Accurate 3D Modeling: Modeled Microsoft devices and detachable components from scratch in Cinema 4D, strictly adhering to technical drawings to ensure 1:1 scale and physical accuracy.
-
Hard-Surface Topology: Developed clean, production-ready geometry, carefully capturing micro-details including keycap profiles, chassis bevels, ports, and subtle material finishes.
-
Choreographed Motion Animation: Created dynamic animation sequences showcasing device transformations, floating assembly transitions, and sleek product reveals calibrated for broadcast timing.
-
Custom UI Screen Graphics: Designed and composited glowing circuit-pattern screen visuals to emphasize internal computing power and futuristic design language.
-
Studio Lighting & Rendering: Configured realistic studio lighting, reflection setups, and physical shaders in Cinema 4D, delivering clean render passes for final TV post-production and color grading.
